A big thank you to THEA - The Athens Business Incubator

published: 6/12/2016

I felt the need today to sit and write a big thank you to The Athens Business Incubator, the THEA project, one of the initiatives of the ACCI, to support, help & nurture the first steps of start-ups and their creators, with the aim to promote the social & economic revival of Athens.

As every good business incubator, THEA offers a series of benefits to its members including facilities, administrative support, mentorship, business interactions, and access to contacts and capital. Besides 'all- of-that', however, for us it is all about the implementation of 'all-of-that'.

We have been accepted in THEA since April, when GIVE was just an idea and a concept, when I was still living abroad! THEA believed in us maybe even before we believed in ourselves, and provided us with space since day 1. Not unlike a friendly hand pulling you up, THEA became part of our team, opened its hug and took us in. The space surely made the experience more than pleasant. The smiles and friendliness of Christina, Katerina and Vicky made it enjoyable, a place you want to go in the morning. The support of everyone working there made it valuable. I always believed that you don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great. THEA gave us that start. We wouldn't be able to do it without your support.

you don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great"

Not to forget….Since I first arrived for the interview, I met in the waiting room Athena and Donato, also looking for a business family to support their first steps. Since, we worked next to each other for months each building its own ideas. I couldn't forget you guys (!), a thank you to the EasyExport team for being so fun and pleasant to work with. Thank you also to the amazing people from MyHabEats and Neser for being so inspiring and sharing their thoughts along the way, as well as all the teams that we worked and work together.

I felt the need today to sit and write a big thank you to THEA and its people that helped us start and help us grow. We can only promise to soon make you proud!
